Choosing the right name for our gym was no small task.
We wanted a name that stood for something—a name that captured not only who we are but also what we hope to inspire in every person who walks through our doors. After much thought and reflection, we found the perfect fit:

The Percheron is a breed of horse known for its remarkable size, strength, endurance, and versatility.
These majestic animals are built to work hard, adapt to challenges, and carry their load with grace and determination. For us, the Percheron symbolizes everything we strive to embody as a gym and everything we hope to cultivate in our community.

Historically, these horses were used for farming, transportation, and battle—always working for the good of others, always moving forward. In the same way, we see fitness as a tool to help people not only build their physical strength but also discover their purpose and move toward their goals, whatever they may be.
The name "Percheron Fitness" reminds us daily of the qualities we value most: resilience, adaptability, and the willingness to keep pushing, even when the road gets tough. It’s a name that calls us to show up, do the work, and inspire others to do the same.

While originally bred as a soldier on the field of battle, and eventually becoming a staple at draft houses and on farms... here's somewhere you might not expect to see the Percheron: Disney. That's right. The temperament of the Percheron is one that lends itself to being surrounded by lots of activity and its gentle, docile nature is perfect for an environment filled with energetic kids.
